OGBORU CONDOLES NUT, DELTA STATE GOVT OVER DEATH OF 4 PRINCIPALS



The office of Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru is saddened over the reported death of four (4) members of the Nigerian Union of Teachers NUT in an automobile crash.


In a statement released to the media, Chief Great Ogboru condoles with NUT and the families of the bereaved over the sad but avoidable incident which claimed the lives of four (4) Principals in the accident with others still in hospital.

Chief Ogboru, in the statement signed by his Principal Secretary, Prince Akpojotor Christopher Agaga, called on the Delta state Government to ensure that salaries/allowances and pensions of its workers are paid promptly to avoid strike actions which could be avoided and save our workers, who are also our sisters, brothers and relatives, from such untimely accidents.

The statement therefore enjoined the good people of Delta state to pray for the families of the deceased NUT members.

It could be recalled that the Principals were headed for Kwale to attend a meeting when the unfortunate and sad incident occurred.
