Oghenesivbe, Okowa'a EAC Bags LBU Professional Doctorate Degree, Multiple Award In Abuja.

Dedicates Awards To God, Governor Okowa.

....Says Okowa Administration Has Been A Tremendous Blessing, 

Renowned Political Communication Strategist and Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has again been recognised, honoured and decorated for his inestimable roles in nation building.

Oghenesivbe's recognition and awards have come through his creative writing skills and intellectual capacity in strategic communication, media management and commerce.

Liberal Bilingual University of Togo, had over the weekend, conferred on him a professional Doctorate degree in Commerce and Enterprise Development. The formal presentation of the degree to Dr Oghenesivbe shall be at the 2020 Convocation Ceremony of the University,  in Togo, slated for November, this year.

Similarly, the prestigious Institute of Commerce Research And Enterprises Development of Nigeria, ICRED, also inducted Oghenesivbe as Senior Research Fellow, in appreciation and recognition of his distinguished career, sincere integrity and commitments; highest standard of professional excellence in the field of commerce, media, communication, trade and enterprise development research. 

In the same vein, Okowa's EAC after due participation at a rigorous brain storming exercise and training, was subsequently inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, fciism; having satisfied all requirements of the Institute as a professional information craftsman and strategic communication manager, and in recognition of his contributions towards the development of information, strategy management, educational excellence and professionalism in Nigeria and Africa at large.

The faculty took key participants through; Strategic change Management for Competitive Advantage in the New Normal, Threats to Banks Cyber Security ICT and Risk Management, Leadership for Strategic Turn Around in Covid-19 era, ICT as Strategic Tools in Managing Organization Wealth while the core topic focused on - Information and Strategy Management: A Pragmatic Approach to Covid-19 Business Development and Sustainability.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificate of competency, professional. recognition as a communication strategist and Award for Excellent Leadership bestowed on Dr Oghenesivbe, by the Chartered Institute of Information And Strategy Management, CIISM.

Speaking at the event, Oghenesivbe said Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa had through the Youth Agriculture and Skills Training Entrepreneurship Programmes, YAGEP and STEP empowered over 6,000 young entrepreneurs in the state; who have become bread winners for their families, and in the same token, training thousands of other youths to become self employed as a paradigm shift from high concentration on white colour jobs that are no longer available.

He further disclosed that the revamping of six Technical Colleges across the three senatorial districts is meant to boost the manpower and human capacity development goals of the state government, adding that in addition to that about 450 young girls of between age 18 and 30 years were recruited recently by Okowa administration from the 25 local government areas through the office of the Executive Assistant on Girl Child Education, to be trained in various vocations. At the completion of training, they shall be given starter packs and other assistance to enable them set up their small scale businesses.

Oghenesivbe called on the Institute of Commerce Research and Enterprises Development of Nigeria, to partner with Delta State Government in the area of specialised training, manpower development and funding, adding that the Central Bank of Nigeria, the World Bank and Tony Elumelu Foundation have endorsed the YAGEP and STEP initiatives and  already partnering with government to increase the number of beneficiaries in the state.

The EAC also identified government efforts in security and peace building which, according to him, has provided peaceful and enabling environment for investments and businesses to thrive, pointing out that Gov Okowa being a detribalised Nigerian strongly believe in peaceful coexistence among Nigerians wherein local and international investors are free to invest in any part of Delta State and Nigeria, without fear of tribal sentiments and insecurity.

"Delta has been rated tops in jobs and wealth creation because of the tremendous results so far achieved through the YAGEP and STEP initiatives of Okowa administration.

"Delta State is peaceful because our governor paid prime attention to security and peace building wherein traditional rulers, leaders and youths are stakeholders. It is safe to invest in Delta because we love people generally and our people are very friendly and accommodating.

"I urge the Institute of Commerce Research and Enterprises Development of Nigeria, to partner with Delta State Government in the area of entrepreneurial skills development, specialised training and funding. It must be stated clearly that the Socioeconomic and industrialization policy in Delta is anchored on mutual public and private partnership with special incentives and special tax holidays for investors with reasonable portfolio.

"As for me, Okowa administration has been a tremendous blessing and I have been privileged to undergo professional training in  communication strategies and media management. In 2017, I was at the Channels Academy in Abuja, for a 5-day workshop for government spokespersons, co-sponsored by the United States Embassy.

"And in 2019, we had a three days workshop on Strategic communication with Prof Godwin Oboh, Head of Mass Communication Department at Delta State University as Chief Trainer, sponsored by the state government. 

"Here I am in 2020, attending another professional training in information and Strategy management, also sponsored by Delta State Government. I am.humbled by these opportunities and I wish to respectfully thank my boss the Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the Secretary to Delta State Government, Barrister Chiedu Ebie and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Olorogun David Edevbie for their invaluable contributions in sharpening my professional skills and building The Latimore brand.

"Let me also thank the Senate and Governing Council of Liberal Bilingual University of Togo and the Vice Chancellor, Prof Amani Danjuma Peniel for conferring on me the prestigious Professional Doctorate Degree in Commerce And Enterprise Development.
