The Federal Government has signed new contract agreements for four major road projects across Kaduna, Oyo, Ogun, and Osun States, in a move to boost connectivity and economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The contracts, executed by the Federal Ministry of Works in Abuja, cover the reconstruction of the Mando–Birnin Gwari Road in Kaduna, dualisation of the Ibadan–Ijebu Ode Road, and two key road projects linking Osogbo to Ikirun, Akoda, Iwo, and Ibadan.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, said the projects are designed to improve transport efficiency and drive national development, noting that the government is adopting concrete technology to ensure roads last up to 100 years.

“Our goal is to build durable infrastructure that will serve generations,” he said.

Permanent Secretary, Rafiu Olarinre Adeladan, described the signing as the transition to full project execution, assuring strict monitoring and timely delivery.

The projects, spanning over 379 kilometres, will be handled largely by indigenous contractors, who have been directed to commence work immediately.
