Barcelona Release Nigerian Youngster Godswill Ekpolo – 21-year old Nigerian defender Godswill Ekpolo has been released by club side, Barcelona. The Dream Team IV star had been at the Catalan side for 11 years, but was finally let go after being unable to break into the first team. Ekpolo announced his exit from the club in an emotional letter on social media. “11 years goes so fast and writing this letter makes me realize that nothing goes faster than time,” he wrote. He thanked his Barca B teammates, saying “I could not think of a better group to spend these 11 years with.” He continued: “I know I have been blessed to have been at a club like Barcelona.
