Following a news publication by RARIYA Magazine, the Kaduna State House of Assembly has debunked the report that the legislative arm donated the sum of #1.5 million to a film actress in Kaduna.

In its reaction through a Press statement signed by the House Committee Chairman on Information, Deacon Nuhu Goro Shadalafia as regards the publication, the House called on the public to pay no attention to such news, describing it a calculated attempt to ridicule the honorable House.

“It is laughable that at this time of economic crisis, the House which neither generates nor saves money will give out such large sum of money to an individual.”

“The only times the House ever gave donations were during the time of disaster, like flooding, fire, and even then, it was the Honourable Members that levied themselves and contributed to the good cause.”

“We therefore wish to call on the general public to disregard this rumour going on online medium and concentrate in making Kaduna State great again.”

“It is important to always cross-check our facts with the Committee Information Chairman or the Public Relations Officer of the Assembly”, the statement read.
