We Value Igbuya's Leadership......Sapele Youths Insist

Honourable Igbuya

Youths of Sapele have described the comments of the Publisher of Delta Guide, Prince Oromokpaye as irresponsible and a clear smear campaign against the person of Honourable Monday Igbuya, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.

The youths have therefore warned Prince Oromokpaye against making provocative statements, reminding the people to be careful of those working against the interest of the constituency.

Leaders of the youths while rising from a meeting aimed at charting a new course for Sapele Youths through intellectual debate, said they were forced to react to the allegations before they assume the toga of truth.

The Youths who were speaking under the aegis of National Youths Council of Nigeria, Sapele Local Government Area, stated that they were perplexed over the allegations which were intended to smear the person of the Speaker, Honourable Monday Ovwigho Igbuya

“Hon Monday Igbuya is an astute politician and a strong voice for the development of Sapele who has not disappointed the wonderful people of Sapele”.

Describing the allegations against the Speaker levelled against the speaker as “wicked, fictitious and mischievous”, the youths disclosed that “Igbuya turned around the fortunes of Sapele Local Government Area through people-oriented, socio-economic development schemes”.

Referring to Hon Igbuya as “a caring leader, a believer in the provision of equal opportunity for all and a true defender of Sapele people”, the youths condemned the actions of some mendacious and depraved individuals in the area such as Orhomonokpaye and his sponsors, saying such acts were capable of sending wrong signals to the outside world about the Speaker and the good people of Sapele.

In a statement signed by Comrade Benjamin, the group  stressed that The Right Honourable Speaker is not a bad person. He has deep faith in God. Orhomonokpaye and his sponsors are jealous of the achievements of the speaker”.

Doubting Orhomonokpaye’s mental state, the youths urged the publisher and his sponsors to seek God’s forgiveness and desist from such acts.

“We value Igbuya’s leadership, wisdom, judgement and technical acumen. He is making the right decision for those who elected him” the statement read.
