GOV. OKOWA; A HUMBLE AND HONEST MAN.......EBIRERI SAYS

ARTHUR OKOWA

The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of assembly, Mr. Henry Ebireri has described as unfair, the idea whereby people will publish stories without proper verification.
In a statement made available to NAIJ NEWS ALERT, Ebireri said; “It is unfair that people will publish stories without establishing the authenticity or verifying the truthfulness of the stories they are publishing”.

Speaking in Asaba on Thursday, Ebireri   condemned those behind the news story entitled:  “Delta State Lawmakers Aides Lament Over Alleged Unpaid Allowances”.
“The story is meant to ridicule the political aides of the Delta State House of Assembly and belittle them in the estimation of right thinking persons”, the CPS said.
Ebireri praised Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for accelerating the development of the state, piloting the people to the door of prosperity and revolutionalizing governance in the state through the dispensation of noticeable democratic dividends.
“Government is fully committed to the welfare of political aides and civil servants in the state” Ebireri said.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa remains a humble man, pursuing the tenets of integrity, transparency, honesty and such virtues that lead to enduring values”, the CPS to the DTHA Speaker said.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker urged print and online journalists in the state to stop misleading the reader.
“I wish to state that this story is completely false. Ejire Akposere is a fictitious name. Political aides in the Delta State House of Assembly will never degenerate to a level of public abuses and indecency”, he added.
