BREAKING NEWS: NUPENG CALLS OFF WARNING STRIKE

Nigeria's  oil major, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation,  NNPC has intervened in the threat by the executives of  NUPENG to embark on a warning strike Monday 3rd April.

With the intervention by the NNPC management led by Dr. Maikanti Baru, Nigerians have once again been saved the expected agonizing pains that accompany such strike actions.

Commercial vehicle owners in the FCT have commended the Dr Baru led management for the prompt response and matured manner it handled the situation leading to the call off of the strike action by Petroleum Tankers Drivers Union with the support of NUPENG.

Adeleke Oyetunde, a commercial vehicle owner in the FCT, while speaking with NAIJ NEWS ALERT, says he has high hopes and confidence in the management of the NNPC to stand up for the masses considering the present economic hardships many Nigerians are contending with today.

Reports from some of the major cities across the country revealed that queues which had, hitherto, vanished from our fuel stations began to mount at about 2:00pm but, with the announcement, calm had returned.
