Hon Ivwurie Presents Bill For People With Disabilities

The member representing Ethiopian East in the Delta state House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Evance Ochuko Ivwurie has presented a Bill on the floor of the House.

The Bill is for a law to Eliminate all forms of Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities, Equalize their Opportunities in all aspect of living in the Society and Establishment of the Office for Disability Affairs in Delta State and Other Matters Connected Therewith.

The Bill successfully scaled through its First Reading after been unanimously adopted by the House.

The Bill christened the “Delta State Discrimination of People Living with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill, 2016 - HB 44”, has been slated for 2nd Reading on Tuesday, 4th April 2017.
