Group Accuses Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi of Non-Performance; Faces Threat of Recall

Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, representing Kaduna North Senatorial District under the platform of the APC at the National Assembly, Abuja seems to have attracted the wrath of his constituents.

A group under the aegis of the Concerned Citizens of Northern Kaduna Senatorial District have reportedly, initiated moves to recall their Senator over poor performance, a report from the area said.


The group, described as disappointed voters, say they have lost faith in Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi.

According to a report by the Good Governance NGO; "Enough is Enough" (EiE) Nigeria, they have had enough of the poor performance of Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi.

"They petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to request that a referendum be conducted to recall the Senator", EiE Nigeria said in the latest edition of its bulletin released on Friday.

"The voters explained that the recall process was initiated as a result of loss of confidence in his ability to represent their interest in the National Assembly", the report said.
