2 Men Arrested Over Rape of One Year Old Baby Girl in Katsina

The police in Katsina State Command has arrested a rape suspect identified simply as Suleiman.

According to reports available, the suspect, Suleiman and his accomplice Musa reportedly snatched a year old baby from her mother and gang raped the baby in a bush located in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The two suspects, according to the police, allegedly tricked the woman to board their motorcycle, apparently snatched the baby on the way and took her to a bush, where Musa and another person raped the little baby girl.

The father of the little baby girl, Ahmadu Jibril,  reported the case to the Central Police State in Funtua Local Government Area. He said that Suleiman connived with Musa and another person to attack his wife on her way returning from Angwan Bawa, a town located in Danja LGA, and raped his daughter.

Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of the Command, DSP Gambo Isah, confirmed the evil incident, noting that Suleiman who is a secondary suspect had already been arrested, while a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the other suspects.

The baby was rushed to the General Hospital in Funtua for medical attention and treatment.
