GREAT OGBORU COMMISERATES WITH UDUF LEADERSHIP OVER ATTACKS; Reassures of A Greater Delta

Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru has commiserated with the leadership of the Urhobo Development Unity Forum, UDUF and the Delta Central Comrades, a coalition of concerned Delta youths, who were attacked by yet to be identified armed hoodlums.


In a statement signed by Prince Christopher Akpojotor Agaga, the Principal Secretary to Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru, the APC chieftain described the attack on the members of UDUF and DCC, under the leadership of Messrs Sanco Ese Darlington and Harrison Adah respectively, as highly condemnable, despicable, distasteful and an unfortunate incident in the history of Delta state that must not be swept under the carpet.

According to the statement, Olorogun Ogboru insists that the perpetrators of this heinous crime must be fished out by the relevant authorities as this is one injustice against the people who are tired of incessant excuses and foot dragging following the armed attacks on communities by Fulani herdsmen.

The coalition's intention to embark on a peaceful protest in Asaba is purely out of love for the safety and security of their fellow Deltans for which the group had secured approval from the relevant authorities and, any attempt to deprive the people of their liberties and rights must be resisted. Where were the security personnel while this criminal attacks were perpetuated?

Chief Ogboru extends his gratitude to God for sparing the lives of members of UDUF and its leadership while also calling on all good citizens of the state to continue to be of good cheer as the wind of "Change" will soon blow into Delta state.
