Emmanuel Onotevure
The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately retrace his steps and stop derailing from his electoral promises to nigerians in 2015.
President of the NYCN, Comrade Isa Abubakar expressed his displeasure with the Nigerian President over what he described as a derailment by the Muhammadu Buhari led administration from its campaign promises to the electorates which saw him winning the presidential elections.
Comrade Abubakar gave this warning while answering questions from media practitioners in Kaduna as he frowned at the meagre budgetary allocation to the education sector in the 2018 Budget Appropriation which has beensubmitted to the National Assembly.
Abubakar expressed his displeasure on the education budget, saying that "President Buhari whom they contributed immensely to his emergence as Nigeria’s leader in 2015, is derailing and must retrace his steps or will be abandoned for someone who will do better".
Tasked on the performance of the 19 Northern Governors, Comrade Abubakar state that the governor have failed woefully in their mandates but, come 2019, the youths will shop for better alternatives.
Comrade Isa Abubakar described the Almajiri scourge as a shame to the North, as he blamed the political elites from the region for deliberately supporting of the dehumanising trend.
"They deliberately refuse to address the scourge because they use the same products of Almajiri as willing political tools", he stressed.
