BREAKING NEWS: COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION, KADUNA STATE; PROF. NOK IS DEAD

PROF. JONATHAN A. NOK

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Prof . Jonathan Andrew Nok, an erudite scholar and administrator, is dead.

Professor Andrew Nok died this morning at the age of 55. Described as an unassuming but dedicated teacher and administrator, his death came as a rude shock to his colleagues in the state cabinet and staff.



Born 11th February, 1962 hailed from Nok village in Jaba Local Govt of Kaduna state who, until his appointment as the Commissioner of Health and Human Services; and later Commissioner for Education by Governor Nasir el - Rufai, the deceased, Jonathan Andrew Nok (MFR) , was a Professor of Biochemistry at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and also the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the ABU.

The circumstances leading to his sudden passing remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
