Controversial and outspoken member of the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye has been arraigned in Court by the Federal Government before a High Court in Maitama, Abuja on a two Count charge of false information.
Senator Melaye, representing Kogi West of Kogi state was arraigned for allegedly framing Edward David, Chief of Staff to Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi state.
The controversial Senator Melaye was reported to have accused Edward David of deliberately giving false information to the police to frame him as the mastermind of the alleged attempt to assassinate him.
Dino Melaye who stormed the court in company of some of his colleagues also had many of his supporters with placards and singing his praises.

Among the Senators present were, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, representing Bayelsa east and Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, representing Abia North.
At the court sitting on Thursday, Senator Dino Melaye pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Scores of protesters under the aegis of Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CNYL) stormed the High Court in Maitama, Abuja in solidarity with Melaye.
The protesters held placards with inscriptions: "No Force Can Stop Dino Melaye","No One Can Kill The Truth" and Speak On Dino", among others.
