Mulade Preaches Peace; Cautions Against Blackmailing Remarks

Ahead of the primaries for PDP aspirants for the Delta state House of Assembly ticket, a frontline contender has urged other aspirants to desist from dragging the name of Deputy Governor in the mud.


The aspirant, Comrade Sheriff Mulade who is seeking to represent Warri South-West Constituency under  the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming 2019 poll, has preached peaceful relationship among the various aspirants vying for the Warri South-West Constituency seat in the state House of Assembly, come 2019.

Mulade also cautioned against blackmailing remarks, use of derogatory words against opponents aspiring for the state legislative position from the area.

Comrade Mulade, while noting that the position of becoming a House of Assembly member is not by appointment or selection, added that making derogatory remarks against another contender, does not speak well of the political advancement of the people.

Condemning in its entirety, the instigating of people against each other, Mulade admonished aspirants to urge their supporters to tackle issue based campaign rather than result to blackmail of others.

He described those carrying out such maligning acts as errand boys and sycophants who want to impress their bosses, which according to him, is myopic and not acceptable.

The Warri South-West local government area House of Assembly hopeful frowned at those dragging the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro to the mud about South-West Constituency issue, noting that, the position of a lawmaker is elective and not appointment as speculated in some quarters.

He explaining further that the office of the Deputy Governor is appointment as pleased by his principal, the Delta state Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa which is normally done according to the constitution.

He advised aspirants and those doing contrary to desist from such, face their campaign and wait for the primaries which, according to him, is the decider for all aspirants to test their popularity on the field.
