OSUN DECIDES 2018: IFE SOUTH YOUTH COALITION DRUMS SUPPORT FOR ADELEKE

With the just concluded governorship elections in Osun state, South West Nigeria, criticisms and condemnations have continued to trail the decision of INEC to declare the exercise as inconclusive.


Many stakeholders have continued to react to this action with youths from Ife South of the state, joining the fray.

In a statement issued on Monday in the Osun state capital, the youths have come out to express their position as to the decision of the electoral body.

Below is a full text of the statement:

Subsequent to the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare the OSUN State September 22 governorship election inconclusive due to the fact the People Democratic Party candidate in person of Senator Ademola Adeleke defeated the ruling All progressive party candidate. It is clear to all and sundry that this a conspiracy against the Peoples' Democratic Party and a decision of the ruling APC in conjunction with INEC to deliberately thwart the people's will and assault the aspirations of the people of Osun State. A day meant to be a day of freedom and liberation from bad government and inhuman rulership have been postponed by anti-people politicians.
     
      What shall we say to this?
Lokoja Senatorial by-election in Kogi,
APC - 26,860,
PDP - 14,845,
*Margin - 12,015*
*Cancelled Votes - 19,960* from 17 Polling Units
Result - Conclusive.
OSUN election:
PDP - 254,698
APC - 254,345
*Margin - 353*
*Cancelled Votes - 3,498* from 7 Polling Units.
Result - Inconclusive
What a double standard by INEC!
It appears some people are already out of ideas to rig.
Not good for our democracy at all.

The Ife south youth coalition hereby reject the declaration of the election  been inconclusive,  That independent electoral  commission INEC should declare, senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke the peoples democratic party (PDP) candidate the winner of the election  for he has won the majority of the total number of valid vote cast and have scored more than twenty five percent of total number of valid vote cast in more than two third of the numbers of local governments of the state.

 👉That there are clear indications that the people have rejected  the  APC led government,  despite their eight (8)years reign, they induced voters yet they lost at polls, they should accept  defeat and congratulate the peoples democratic party, (PDP).

👉 That the INEC which is expected  to be an unbiased umpire decided to upturn the will of the people,  should return  the illegal deduction of one thousand (1000) votes from Ayedaade .

👉 That  the  judiciary which is the last hope of masses should declare Adeleke the winner of the September 22, 2018 election .

👉 *That if the judiciary fails to defend our democracy by declaring  Adeleke  the winner of the election,  we will  shamefully exit and banish the  APC at rerun polls come this Thursday*...

👉 *That we the youth have resolved to canvass  for PDP in the remaining two (2)polling  units of Ife South with registered voters of 1314, if at 'all there will be any rerun '. As part of our efforts to save  our hard earned democracy and make our dear state great again...*

We would not stop until the voice of the masses is heard and the Independent National Electoral Commission declares Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke of the Peoples' Democratic Party the Winner of the Osun State September 22, Governorship election.
