KADUNA SDP ORGANIZES CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR ITS CANDIDATES; 1ST Ever By Any Political Party

In its determination to develop and prepare its members for the 2019 general elections, the Kaduna state chapter of the Social Democratic Party, SDP has organized a capacity building programme for her flag bearers and the various campaign Director Generals at all levels.

The programme, which took place at the prestigious Kabir Gymnasium, Kaduna, and organized under the auspices of Game Changers Consult,
is aimed at sensitizing the candidates and their DG's on the aspects of having a better understanding on the psychology of the electorates, data collection, analysis and the winning strategies.

The programme, which is the first ever in the state to be organized by any political party since the advent of democracy in 1999, has been commended by political stakeholders including its opponents.

Speaking with Naij News Alert, Governorship candidate of the SDP in Kaduna state, Mallam Haruna Sae’ed Kajuru disclosed that his political party, which is the most focused and issues oriented political party, has a robust developmental plan for the rescue of the state from infrastructural deficits and economic down slide that has been witnessed in the past years.

According to Mallam Sae’ed, Kaduna state deserves the best in terms of governance and developmental growth for the good people of the state and this can only be actualized if the SDP; the best and only party with the right capacity to deliver democratic dividends to the electorates.

He bashed the incumbent administration for plunging the state further into debts saying that, Kaduna state has the potentialities of being economically viable, financially stable due to the vast natural resources which the state is endowed with.

Sae’ed, an accountant by profession and the longest serving Accountant General of the state, was also the pioneer Executive Secretary of NEITI who not only produced a solid and workable blue print that brought tremendous positive changes that revolutionized the accounting systems in the state and Nigeria, disclosed that the infrastructural deficiencies recorded these past years, ought not to have been describing it as sad and unfortunate.

“SDP has the solution to the current financial strangulation being experienced by Kaduna state and will make Kaduna rebound into reckoning”.

“We have time to energize people to make every person know the brand. 

"The brand is not strange. The White Horse that we have is unique and can be identified more easily and we can get the people that we have all over”.

“You see, collateral values are also very important because, some people will finish here and disappear; they don’t have any reason to fall back and look at what the people have to say. We are with these people 24/7. We know the consequences of not doing the right thing with them. We don’t have homes in Dubai, the UK or elsewhere. This is our home, here in Kaduna. We don’t even stay in Abuja but here in Kaduna”.

“We have introduced accountability, transparency at the helm of affairs here in Kaduna state. Others do not have these behind them. They don’t. So, what do you want; do you want people who will serve you or, you want people who can make noise or you want people who will feel that they have a system that will make them take care of themselves?

“Of course, there are shortcomings. Shortcomings have always been that of leadership”, he disclosed.

“We have to understand why leadership has failed. In the past, we had a system that we looked at every section of the country and see how best to develop that section of the country”.

“We failed to do that and that is why we have insecurity and people wanting to break away from the country. The systems have been bastardized and we got nothing out of this”, he stated.

“We cannot accept this abnormality whereby, there is so much fear and insecurity and citizens faced with threats of kidnapping every day. The SDP will ensure that people are able to go about their daily activities without fear or harassment”.

The SDP Gubernatorial candidate also used the occasion to present his running mate, Sir Elias Kazzah Aduwak to the gathering.

Sir Elias Kazzah Aduwak hails from Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Sae’ed thanked the organizers for the programme noting that there couldn't have been a better time for the party to organize such programme than now.

In attendance at the Capacity Building programme were; Haruna Yunusa Sae’ed Kajuru, the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Kaduna State, the senatorial candidates from Northern and Southern parts; Shua’ibu Ahmed Damat and Rijo Shekari and House of Representatives members such as Micah Sule, representing Jaba/Zango Kataf Federal Constituency.

Others include the state House of Assembly aspirants from the 23 local government councils of the state such as Ishaku Dogo, Ezekiel Baba Karik, Shunom Adinga and Ishaku Yayock.
