"My Transition Hours": Buhari Hails Jonathan
Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari at an event yesterday, hailed his predecessor, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for conceding defeat in the 2015 election.
The event which the Book Launch of "My Transition Hours" by the former President, had in attendance, two former military Head's of State, two former civilian Vice Presidents, party leaders including chairmen of the two major political parties.
Buhari, who was represented by the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, praised the former President’s insistence that "No Nigerian blood was worth his political ambition", describing him as a true patriot.
"Elections should not be a declaration of war", Buhari stated in his message.
The event which can best be described as the first event to host the members of the All Progressives Congress APC and it's major opposition party, the PDP where Adams Oshiomhole and Uche Secondus were in attendance, also had the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki on ground.
Also at the event was Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Minority Leader of the Senate who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.

Others in attendance are former Vice President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, General Theophilus Danjuma, Governors of Rivers, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Cross Rivers, Delta and Abuja States.
