With the Edo state governorship elections drawing near, the New Nigeria People’s party, NNPP has called upon democratic and peace loving Nigerians to join them in redefining a new course for Nigeria, irrespective of religious leaning.

In a statement issued on Wednesday 25 June 2020, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the NNPP, Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba noted that, it is an aberration and the most deadly deception from the pit of hell when ignorant people claim that politics belongs to the devil. 

Olorunmagba, in the statement, stressed that “Politics is about who physically rules you and, that if you abandon it for the devil, he will surely impose his children on you who will implement different kinds of demonic policies to encourage persecution and massacre of people just because religion and at the same time devour the economy of the country”.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary called on true lovers of democracy to take advantage of the NNPP’s incorruptible political platform which is birthed on a foundation of integrity, to prove to the world that religious persons can be in power.

“Therefore, in the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), we encourage people of different religious background to take advantage of our incorruptible political platform operating on the foundation of integrity, to proof to the world that religious people can be in power without stealing and without bowing to the devil in whatever form”.
