All the media hype about SIMPLE Agenda by Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Adams Oshiomhole in the ongoing electioneering campaign in Edo State, and in final mobilization of eligible voters towards the September 19 governorship election, goes to no issue. It is a carrot and stick campaign strategy to deceive the people.
At best, Ize-Iyamu's agenda will go the way of Lucky Igbinedion's Transformation Agenda of 1999, written, packaged and later disrupted by same Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the author of the now over blown Simple Agenda.
Of a truth, Osagie was the brain box of Igbinedion's government and was the evil genius that crafted all that transferred in the life of that administration from 1999 to 2007. He was the only genuine open door to Lucky Igbinedion and there was be no deal without Osagie Ize-Iyamu during Igbinedion's regime as governor of Edo State.
Osagie was privy to all deals and as the only middleman, he had his full share of all transactions which made him the youngest billionaire politician from 1999 to 2007, and his looted funds were invested in real estate, large mechanized farming and choice properties in Benin, Abuja, Lagos, United States, South Africa and United Kingdom.

He misled Gov Lucky Igbinedion and abandoned him to wallow in multifaceted financial crime legal battles which also cramped Mike Igbinedion who was jailed for laundering over N25 billion of Edo State money under the supervision of Osagie Ize-Iyamu as Secretary to Edo State Government. Osagie is not a clean man yesterday, not clean today and will not be transparent tomorrow.
Ize-Iyamu's ways can never be pure as can be seen from his radical behaviour by recruiting political thugs code named; Lions and Tigers" of Edo State. He calls himself a pastor but deeply entrenched in mayhem, rascality and promoting political insecurity in Edo State via the lions and tigers headed by one deviant called Tony Kabaka.
Igbinedion's political manifesto in 1999 was written by Osagie Ize-Iyamu,; and got the accolade of Edo people because of the gigantic projects, policies and programmes encapsulated in the failed manifesto.
Lucky Igbinedion was elected on the basis of the manifesto written by Ize-Iyamu but he later convinced Igbinedion to abandon the fantastic transformational agenda and thereafter concentrated on looting of funds and sharing same with their cronies in and out of government.
In all, Osagie Ize-Iyamu was the single highest or greatest beneficiary of Edo looted funds between 1999 and 2007 while in the saddle as Secretary to Edo State Government. He is a prolific writer and an intelligent rogue, a powerful political orator but unscrupulous in all his ways. Adams Oshiomhole description of Ize-Iyamu as a fake pastor and looter remained the truth till date, which is why their recent reconciliation is strange and unacceptable to any reasonable Edo man or woman.
Adams Oshiomhole and Osagie Ize-Iyamu must be up to some dirty games. Both of them called each other looters and fraudulent individuals, but from nowhere they started praising one another in campaign rallies. Edo people will never fall into this trap. God forbid!
Adams Oshiomhole after investigating Osagie Ize-Iyamu's roles in Lucky Igbinedion administration was frightened by the huge funds that accrued to Osagie, and vowed never to appoint him into his cabinet; and during the eight years of Oshiomhole in the saddle as governor of Edo State, he bluntly refused to appoint Kpelebe (Osagie). The same osagie the lootee is whom Oshiomhole want Edo people to trust? Wonders shall never end. Evil, shameless and desperate politicians.
And in 2016, Oshiomhole told Edo people how Ize-Iyamu looted Edo State treasuring during Igbinedion's regime and warned that he must never be allowed to govern Edo state. He subsequently recommended Godwin Obaseki, describing him as a honest, transparent and prudent manager of financial resources. On the strength of that Edo people voted for Obaseki, and he proved Oshiomhole right by using Edo peoples money to develop the state.
The grouse against Obaseki is that he bluntly refused to share Edo money with Oshiomhole and his cabal of looters within and outside government, and for doing this Obaseki was tagged a "betrayer" by the former governor and sacked APC national chairman who wanted to implant himself as the defacto and/or supreme political godfather of Edo politics; a position and title Ize-Iyamu willingly granted Oshiomhole in order for him to support his inordinate selfish ambition, a dream that will not be actualised by Osagie in this dispensation.
Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a dangerous specie and worst than a chameleon in terms of character; in words and in action. His bad and odious managerial incompetence can be deduced from his maverick looting roles in Igbinedion's government from 1999 to 2007, and the insolvent nature of Skanga Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Igbinedion's group, managed by Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The reason why Lucky Igbinedion and Osagie Ize-Iyamu are always in the opposition at one time or the other is traceable to their leadership incompatibility occasioned by the show of shame suffered by Igbinedion due largely to Osagie's bad advise and deviation from the proper execution and or implementation of Igbinedion's manifesto between 1999 and 2007, for which Osagie Ize-Iyamu benefited in billions of Naira.
It is therefore safe to assert that Osagie Ize-Iyamu's Simple Agenda is a mere bunch of papers stitched together to lure Edo people into another era of looting spree and subsequently bring the state back to zero. God forbid!
Gov Godwin Obaseki is a prudent governor and have followed due process in all transactions in terms of contracts awarded, implementation of socioeconomic policies and transparency in governance.
Obaseki's visionary leadership style is the reason why pensioners in Edo state are no longer owed; thugs and extortionists are no longer terrorising Edo people, projects adorned the three senatorial districts including a gigantic power project, etcetera.
Osagie Ize-Iyamu is certainly a bad deal for Edo people. MEGA is it, Obaseki is real.
