RETURN STOLEN RAM HEAD: THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES.... Chief Priest Tells Suspect

 

A Traditional Priest in one of the local shrines resident in Anambra state, Southeast Nigeria, has warned a suspected thief to return the stolen head of a ram used for sacrifice and rituals, to Immediately return it or, be ready to face serious consequences.

The Chief Priest, Nnamdi Anaeze Ezegbo, has warned the suspect, a known thief in the community to return the stolen head of a ram used for sacrifice or face the wraths of the gods.

According to Chief Priest Ezegbo, the man suspected to have stolen the head of the ram sacrificed to a deity at Iba Okaka Shrine, Abor village, Umuoji in Idemili North Local Government Area of the State.

According to the report from the village, "the man was said to have dug up the buried head of the animal used in a sacrificial ritual".  

Ezegbo revealed that he had "slaughtered a ram to appease the God's as an appeasement so as to forestall and ward off all the evil spirits in the area and thereafter, the head of the ram was buried as us the demand of the Udo diety", he said.

While some other parts were cooked and shared among those that were present, including a suspected thief notorious in the Community, the head of the ram was buried.

“In the night of the fateful day, when we had all left, the suspected thief stormed the shrine premises and exhumed the ram head which he stole for protection and power, knowing the efficacy of the Udo deity.

“I have advised him to return the head of the ram to avoid incurring the wraths of the deity.”
