CRISIS LOOMS IN DELTA APC OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF #2BN CAMPAIGN FUND

An imminent crisis is about to explode within the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC if feelers from the state is anything to go by.

Tongues are said to be wagging in respect of the alleged missing sum of #2bn set aside by the party for the execution of the 2019 Governorship Campaign.

Making this disclosure known is top media strategist and communication expert, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the Executive Assistant to Governor Arthur Okowa on Communications.

In a statement tagged: "Red Alert:  Where Is The N2 Billion Delta APC Missing 2019 Governorship Campaign Funds?", Oghenesivbe raised some fundamental posers before the Factional Publicity Secretary of the Delta APC.

According to the top aide of the Delta State Governor, he said;
"I do not know how and why Mr Imonina Sylvester was appointed as factional Publicity Secretary of Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC. My God, that guy is off track in terms of noise making from the opposition".

"Anyways, that's not my business. But what baffles me is the consistent display of gross incompetence and narrow approach to issues as can be seen from his laughable press statements in recent times".

"I am not a news reporter and certainly not an everyday news person. I am a political communication strategist, assigned multifaceted roles ranging from highly complicated media politics to agenda setting in political communication for the advancement of constitutional democracy".

"APC Delta leaders and chieftains are hereby put on notice that any media attack on this administration is a direct attack on my person, and any aspersion criminally crafted against the platinum governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, shall be treated as one of my assigned responsibilities".

He warned; "In the same token, I will consistently take on any agent of black propaganda assigned to malign the enviable reputation of the governor; and his achievements, and no amount of character assassination will stop me from doing my job the best way possible".

"However, issues boarding on party politics and on a partisanship basis shall be  addressed by the capacity Publicity Secretary of our great party, PDP. And as party man, I may decide to amplify the position of our party from time to time. I  not a civil servant and not loaned from any media house in Nigeria. You may describe me as a career politician with strong passion  for media politics".

The Missing Funds: I would like Mr Imonina to educate Deltans on how over N2 billion belonging to Delta APC 2019 governorship campaign was allegedly disbursed unscrupulously, and or criminally shared to the extent that the party Exco almost roasted Chief Great Ogboru and the campaign DG, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, in broad day light. What happened to the money? Who is in custody of the money? Or is the money gone like that?

It is not only about making noise everyday talking about what Gov Okowa did not do right;  it is also important for Delta APC to prove allegations beyond reasonable doubt. Equity demands that the party leaders first look at themselves in the mirror and thereafter do the needful by cleaning the rot within the party and probe the monumental corruption tearing Delta APC apart.

Alleged shady deals in Delta APC, especially billions of Naira that suddenly developed wings and flew out of the 2019 campaign office windows must be investigated and those involved prosecuted in line with the so called APC fight against corruption. Of course, this super fraud can never be swept under the carpet. Where is the money?

Contracts that were shared to some top party Exco members may surface in the ongoing forensic audit of the NDDC. Billions of Naira were alleged to have been paid out to some party chieftains without proof of performance. Whereas, Mr Imonina is busy telling tales by moonlight while his party is deeply enmeshed in odious shady deals and contracts racketeering that will soon rock the very foundation of the party in Delta State.

The mess in Delta APC is colossal and I wonder why Mr. Imonina and his paymasters would ignore the crazy monumental corruption in the party, to unjustly cast unfounded aspersions on a performing governor, in the person of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

Okowa is certainly the pacesetter in job and wealth creation in Nigeria, as confirmed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the World Bank, Tony Elumelu Foundation and several other international watchdogs, socioeconomic assessment agencies and Nongovernmental Organisations.

In a nutshell, this piece is meant to address the missing N2 billion 2019 governorship campaign funds in Delta APC, and I am pretty sure that Mr Publicity Secretary have answers for Deltans.
