Edo 2020: APC Politics of Blackmail, Falsehood And Sarcastic Propaganda Cannot Stop Obaseki's Landslide Victory - PDP Group.

"The APC is yet again frightened by the huge endorsements and massive support garnered so far by the PDP  and Governor Godwin Obaseki in the ongoing electioneering campaigns, and have therefore deployed black propaganda and misinformation as their last game plan".


The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organisation has been berated for its kind of politics which is hinged on blackmail, misinformation and sarcastic black  propaganda.

Giving this assertion is the  Coalition of Intelligentsia for Rule of Law And Justice, CIRLJ, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. 

According to the CIRLJ, "the victory of Governor Godwin Obaseki on September 19, cannot be truncated by such unholy political vituperation".

The group, in a statement by its Chief Scribe, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, noted with dismay how the APC and Ize-Iyamu campaign organisation have resorted to cheap name callings and senseless use of political innuendos despite the intervention of the highly respected Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II, wherein the Umogun advised both candidates and their supporters to embrace peace and go about their electioneering campaigns with high standard civility.

According to the Coalition, the APC is yet again frightened by the huge endorsements and massive support garnered so far by the PDP  and Governor Godwin Obaseki in the ongoing electioneering campaigns, and have therefore deployed black propaganda and misinformation as their last game plan, noting that such campaign strategies by the frustrated Ize-Iyamu campaign team will further swell the growing support for the Peoples governor Obaseki and PDP with the end result of a landslide victory against Ize-Iyamu and the APC.

"Obaseki is flying high and his popularity ratings have soared to enviable proportion and this development has become a heart breaking nightmare for the APC and Ize-Iyamu.

"It is crystal clear that APC and Osagie Ize-Iyamu are both political miscarriage in the governorship race in Edo State, as can be seen from the huge support and endorsements pouring in for PDP and Obaseki/Shiabu.

"There is no amount of political propaganda or expression of acute falsehood that will work against Obaseki, a God ordained leader for Edo people in this dispensation.

"The APC and Ize-Iyamu campaign team have also politicised the peace meeting held with Oba Ewuare II in-Council by crafting political innuendos that did not reflect the mindset and thinking of the ancient royal crown thereby trying to indirectly suggest that Oba Ewuare II is favouring Ize-Iyamu. This is fraudulent and Edo people are wiser.

"Oba Ewuare II made it abundantly clear that the great Benin Crown remained apolitical and that he will not vote for any of the governorship candidates on election day. Therefore, the fraudulent political innuendos deployed in the social media platforms remained misinformation and sarcastic propaganda strategies that will eventually facilitate Obaseki's overwhelming victory at the polls on September 19.

"It must be stated that the media campaign strategies of the APC and Ize-Iyamu campaign team headed by one relatively unknown Mallam John Mayaki, is laughable, weak, crude and devoid of civility in all ramifications.

"It is glaring throughout the three senatorial districts in Edo State that Obaseki is the choice of the people and no black propaganda and deliberate falsehood can stop the incumbent governor of Edo State and PDP from winning the governorship election with an unprecedented wide margin," the PDP Coalition of Intelligentsia assured.
