Commendations and words of appreciation have continued to trail the Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the Board of the Delta State Oil Production Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief (Barr.) John Obukowho Nani, a philanthropist, Community leader and respected personality as he has affected positively, the lives of all persons, especially the welfare and well-being of children of school age in the state.
Chief John Nani’s philanthropy especially as it is geared towards ensuring that children of school age study under a conducive and comfortable environment has seen management and students of the Okuemore Primary School, Mosogar in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state expressing their gratitude to the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, for its kind donations of classroom desks and chairs to the school.
Residents of the community who could not hold back their joy, described the efforts of the intervention agency, through High Chief John Nani, as a welcomed development for the community and also, commended the philanthropist, who many say, is a man with a large heart who truly appreciates the and value and importance of education including the need to provide basic amenities that will improve the quality of education among the rural people, especially children of school age.
Speaking with Naij News Alert, one of the residents of Mosogar who identified himself as Ogbevire Unuosatame, described the Executive Director of Finance and Administration as a man that is endeared towards providing quality life and education to his people, in his own small way.
"Chief Obukowho Nani has touched the lives of so many and deserving of commendation and prayers as he has continued to do so many great things for us; taking away the burdens of our pains, in several of our communities”, Unuosatame declared.
Meanwhile, Headmistress of the Okuemore Primary School, Mabel Comrade Efemeya has expressed the gratitude of the entire management and staff, including students of the school to the intervention agency for its donations of classroom desks, which is a huge relief to the pupils, parents and the education board.
She commended Chief John Nani and DESOPADEC for this donation noting that agency, through its Executive Director, Finance and Administration of DESOPADEC appreciates and values the position of education in the society and also, ensuring that primary school pupils in Okuemore study under the right conditions, is commendable.
“The provision of these classroom desks will certainly make the pupils comfortable and we appreciate DESOPADEC and our High Chief for this generosity towards the community, the school and its pupils, she stated.
