ISA ALI PANTAMI MUST RESIGN NOW.... Ex-USA Army Captain.

"When people have radical ideologies, they don’t change overnight. They will carry such ideologies into whatever offices they occupy"......Johnson.

"He should do the right thing and resign and not impose an unnecessary drag on the current administration".

Following the raging reactions to comments accredited to Sheikh Isa Ali Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister for Communications and Digital Economy, prior to his appointment into the cabinet, which many have described as views of an extremist, the calls for his immediate resignation and sack, has continued to gather momentum.

Lending his voice as an expert in security matters, Bishop C. Johnson, a retired Army Captain in the United States Army, has insisted that it was not common for people with extremist ideologists to change overnight.

Bish Johnson stated this on Sunday via a chat with Naij News Alert wherein, he stressed that, "it is more troubling when people with extremist ideologies were in charge of sensitive national data".

"He should do the right thing and resign and not impose an unnecessary drag on the current administration".

"I do not mean that Mr. Pantami is a terrorist but, having a soft spot for terrorists is unacceptable and such should not serve in a government that came into office to fight and eliminate terrorism from the land".

Reacting to a question as to the likelihood or otherwise that the Islamic cleric and Minister for Communications and Digital Economy fails to resign, had this to say;

"If he fails to resign on his own then the President who appointed him should relieve him of his duties as retaining him in such a position where he has so much access to critical data of Nigerians poses a serious threat to the national security. Keeping this man is similar to keeping Abubakar Shekau or Osama Bin Laden in Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet. If we are to win the war against terrorists in this country, terrorists can't be part of our government as they will leak important and strategic information of government to their fellow terrorists".

"When people have radical ideologies, they don’t change overnight. They will carry such ideologies into whatever offices they occupy. So people with extremist ideologies should not occupy sensitive positions", Johnson said.
