Is General Muhammadu Buhari Not A Delusional Person? A Rejoinder To "I Will Never Restructure Nigeria, You Are Naive And Ignorant Of War", By David Adenekan.

The self seeking and delusional behavior of General Muhammadu Buhari (as prefixed by Punch Newspapers) in the 21st century is becoming weird and very worrisome in the face of a dangerous war that has already started in many part of the country. 

There is no doubt in my mind that it is only the sycophants and opportunists that are currently benefiting from the so called 'Fulani  government' at the detriment of the people that will say, "All is well with Nigeria". 

Yes, the writer of this piece hates to be sarcastic about the political reality of the nation states called Nigeria but, let the truth be told, "All is not well with Nigeria". 

Many years of sincere efforts and warning against a sign of undefined war, similar to that of guerilla warfare but may not be classified as 1967 civil war is now fruitless. 

Is restructuring at this point of President Muhammadu Buhari's delusional behavior not belated?

Prejudice apart and without mincing words, the stiff neck attitude, delusional behavior and coupled with the vehement refusal of President Muhammadu Buhari to restructure the country will fast track the dissolution of a contraption called Nigeria.

Moreover, for many opinion leaders and people who are persuaded by negative rhetorics that Buhari will restructure the country, we wish them best of luck. 

Also, for many of us who are very conversant with the antecedents of Muhammadu Buhari, we are holding up to our belief that Buhari may be "the last straw that will break the Carmel's back". In other words, Buhari may be the last President of Nigeria. 

Yes, our conviction is based on facts that will be enumerated below.

One. All the heads of the military formations and security outfits at the federal level are firmly in the hands of the Fulani tribe. How do you negotiate the restructuring of the country with a fierce looking dictator that points a deadly gun at you and can kill you at will, except you look for a way to disarm him? In other words, we may not rule out the option of armed struggle before the emergence of a new trajectory that will dismember the country into different nations. Is restructuring not belated in this kind of scenario?

Two. The unrelenting clamping down on innocent people in the eastern part of the country and the militarization of the whole region by purported Nigerian soldiers that have been ordered by the Buhari administration to shoot at sight, is a strong indication that the war has started and, for many in the Southern part and Middle Belt who think this is unreal and also still believe in "One Nigeria", the war is already at your doorsteps. 

The massacre at Igangan, an agrarian community in Ibarapa of Yoruba land by the deadly Fulani herdsmen is a clear testimony that the war is coming for the onlookers. 

Three. The closing of all borders in the Southern part of the country while all the borders in the Northern part are widely open for mass migration of Fulani tribe all over Sub Sahara Africa into the country, to support the obvious Fulani Agenda and eventually, change the demography of the country, is a strong sign that restructuring is a foreclosed issue in the dangerous agenda of the Buhari Fulani Administration.

Four. The continued deprivation of Southern Nigeria and Middle Belt of economic power by the so-called Fulani hegemony, is a very bad sign that indicates that the Buhari administration will never restructure the country. To demonstrate this fact, is the classic example of using the oil money from the South to construct a railroad from Nigeria to Niger Republic and building the largest Refinery in Niger Republic. Is this not absurd and insane?

Suffice to say that, while some opinion leaders in the South are talking about restructuring and "One Nigeria", the Buhari administration is consolidating its hold on the economy power of Southern Nigeria. 

Five. The unchecked nocturnal activities and killing sprees of the Fulani herdsmen/marauders is enough fact to believe that the Miyetti Allah is an extension of the Buhari administration. Is Buhari not always the grand patron of Miyetti Allah for many years? 

In the words of a military dictator, late General Sanni Abacha, "if an insurgency last in a country for more than six months, the government of the day is directly or tacitly involved in it". Is this not another complicity and shenanigans in the Buhari administration that will make restructuring or true federalism, an uphill task that can never be achieved?

In addition, how do we think the northern elites will give up about 80% of oil wells in their hands that are located in the Southern part of the country? 

Also, will Aliko Dangote give up almost 70% of his investments in the Southern part of the country or will the Sultan of Sokoto give up the 23 oil wells that was allocated to him by the corrupt federal government in the Niger Delta area without a big fight?

Six. Even in the 21st century that universal standard practice of rearing cattle is now the ranching system, General Muhammadu Buhari has just declared that all the old grazing routes that had long been jettisoned, should be fully recovered and also, additional grazing routes should be created throughout the country. Is this not a complete show of "naked power and impunity of the highest order"?

The fundamental question is that, is this not a show of federal might that General Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal will stop at nothing to grab the lands of the indigenous people?

Again, is this not a sinister attempt to forcefully, take over the lands of the indigenous people? How do we reconcile the motive behind this draconian law with the mindset of many in the country that still believe in "One Nigeria" or true federalism"? 

Now that Muhammadu Buhari has vehemently declared that he will never restructure the country, what other option do we have than to defend our ancestral land and fight for self determination? 

In a study of human cognitive behavior, it is very difficult to negotiate or rationalize issues with someone with a delusional behavior. 

Is Buhari not truly a delusional person when his behavior is at complete variance with the reality on the ground, that Nigeria is at a point of political cul-de-sac?

Is self preservation not the first law of nature and, under this desperate condition, what other option do we have than to carry whatever arms we have, to defend our lands and push back the marauders? 

Yes, it is either we pick up whatever arms we have to defend our lands or, we will forever be slaves to the minority Fulani Tribe.

In the final analysis, it is almost impossible to debate or dialogue with a delusional person because, you are not operating on the same horizon. 

In view of this fact, the indigenous people of Southern Nigeria and Middle Belt should wake up from their sleeps and defend their ancestral lands with the last drop of blood in their veins. 

Unfortunately, and in light of the recent declaration by General Muhammadu Buhari that he will never restructure the country into true federalism, our only alternative may be, "Armed Struggle" to liberate our people. 

In 1962, John F Kennedy said, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable".

Yes, this is the only option President Muhammadu Buhari has put on the table for the indigenous people of Southern Nigeria and Middle Belt to set themselves free.

The indigenous people of Nigeria should please, do the needful and not be fooled. General Muhammadu Buhari will never restructure Nigeria and the war has already started.

Only time will tell.
