BANDITS ATTACK NDA, KILL 2 ABDUCT SENIOR OFFICER

Early morning reports on Tuesday, 24 August reveals that armed bandits, disguised in Military uniforms have attacked the Nigeria Defence Academy NDA Kaduna, killing two military personnel and abducted an Officer.

The bandits, according to reports reaching NNA, stormed the permanent site of the military academy in the early  hours of today, killed two and abducted one Officer, Major Dating.

The trending reports reveal that the bandits who came in a vehicle, were said to have passed through the security gate into the academy, disguised in military uniforms, after which they proceeded to the officers’ quarters.

The sound of the gunfire, however, alerted the troops of the NDA Quick Response Team, who arrived at the scene, but were unable to rescue the kidnapped officer as the bandits were already gone with the victim.

The casualties include one Officer; Major Datong was kidnapped while Lt Cdr Wulah and Flt Lt CM Okoronkwo were shot dead. Meanwhile, a 2nd Lt Onah sustained a gunshot injury and is currently receiving treatment.

Security sources said that troops are in pursuit of the bandits who escaped with the kidnapped victims.
