“Please, excuse me, I can’t continue”... Bawa Tells Audience before being rushed out of venue of event on National Identity Day.

Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, is reported to have collapsed today Thursday, 16th September, 2021 while attending a function at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, after he slumped at a programme.

The EFCC Boss was reportedly giving his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he suddenly stopped speaking.

According to trending reports, the anti-graft Czar was telling the audience about a man the commission arrested in Ibadan, Oyo state, with 116 SIM cards when the incident happened.

He wahad reportedly, stopped talking and covered his face with his right palm, saying; “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue”.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Sheikh Dr Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials at the event, therefore, assisted him to his seat but the anti-graft czar again slumped on his seat and was immediately rushed out of the seat of power.

The Master of Ceremony (MC) later announced that the Bawa’s condition was stable.

“I am happy to announce to you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable”, he said.

As at the time of filing this report, there was no confirmation that the chairman and those who rushed him out, had returned back to the hall.
