Mob Lynches Mad Woman For Killing Two Neighbours in Osun

 

"The mentally challenged lady identified as Esther Adu Adu, was reported to have murdered two of her neighbors; one, a septuagenarian (70yrs) and the other, a nonagenarian (90yrs)".

A middle aged lady, alleged to be suffering from mental and psychological challenges, has been lynched and set ablaze by an irate mob in Its Balogun, Ileeha of Osun state.

The mentally challenged lady identified as Esther Adu Adu, was reported to have murdered two of her neighbors; one, a septuagenarian (70yrs) and the other, a nonagenarian (90yrs).

According to available reports, the sad and unfortunate which occurred on Saturday, caused pandemonium in the community.

The victims have been identified as Ojuolape Olojo, 90, and Samson Sunday, 70.

Another neighbor, Disu Olaleye, 70, was allegedly hurt by the woman, who was armed with a machete.

According to a resident who spoke anonymously, Olaleye was rushed to a private hospital in Ilesha’s Ijofi neighborhood.

"A crowd on learning of the dastardly act committed by Esther Adu seized her and set her ablaze before the arrival of men of the Nigerian police", the eyewitness said.

"On arrival at the scene, the police later removed the burnt remains", the source said.

The Osun state Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, has since confirmed the incident.
