A political group, under the aegis of the Coalition For Media Politics, CMP, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has applauded the zoning of the position of the National Publicity Secretary, to the Southern parts of Nigeria.

The group in a statement on Monday 11th October, signed by its Deputy Chairman (Delta North), Hon William Eghebi, Deputy Chairman (Delta South), Hon. Edwin Afejuku and State Publicity Secretary, Hon Malcolm Tagbarha (Delta Central), appealed to PDP leaders and governors in the South to micro zone the NPS position to Delta State.

CMP said its reason for the appeal is to enable a renowned Communication Strategist, who is the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Chief Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, take the position, owing to his wealth of experience and sound knowledge of political communication and national media politics.

"CMP trust the capacity, sagacity and competence of Oghenesivbe to drive the party's Publicity machinery to fruition  before, during and after the 2023 general elections as he will deploy proactive and multifaceted approaches to sustain and enhance the image of the party. 

"Oghenesivbe will be able to tackle and frustrate APC antics and team of propagandists like Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Mr Femi Adeshina and Chief Femi Fani Kayode, both in constructive discuss, propaganda dynamics and proper articulation of the failures of APC national Government under President Mihammadu Bihari.

"CMP strongly believes that Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, will be the cure to APC misinformation and disinformation strategies if elected National Publicity Secretary of PDP in the forthcoming national Convention,  this October.

"CMP respectfully uses this medium to specially appeal to our amiable Platinum Governor and Chairman of South-south Governors Forum, SSGF, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, as well as party leaders in Southern Nigeria, including Delta State PDP Exco, to influence the micro zoning of NPS to Delta and support Oghenesivbe to emerge as PDP NPS, zoned to Southern Nigeria", the statement added.

Chief Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, FCIISM, Fellow, Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration, FCIDA, member, International Communication Association, ICA, Member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, Member, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Ikeja Branch, and member of the Human Rights and Political Communication Committee of the American Political Science Association, APSA, etcetera domiciled in the New York University, USA.

He holds first academic degrees and postgraduate degrees in Mass Communications, Information And Strategy Management, Political Science, LL.B Law Degree, Barrister at Law Postgraduate Certificate, Call to Bar Certificate, Master Degree in Public And International Affairs, MPIA, etcetera.

He is a renowned political communication strategist, a regular guest on national television and currently serving as pioneer Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Communications, from April 2017 and still counting. He is the best man for the PDP NPS job.
