PDP NORTHERN CHIEFTAINS, LOYALISTS DRUM SUPPORT FOR TONY EHILEBO.... Says He's Better Equipped For NPS Position

Following the zoning of the position of its National Publicity Secretary to the South, by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, names of notable personalities have continued to emerge with several receiving endorsements from political groups and supporters.

Among the top contenders, is Tony Ehilebo, a highly respected media guru and consultant who has always spoken in defence of the party and his antecedents has placed him at the top.

Ehilebo, according to a group of party chieftains from the north, has the needed vibrancy, calmness but doggedness to propel the PDP's publicity machinery to its fullest propensity and as such, contend the All Progressives Congress APC and its propaganda unit under the likes of Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Femi Fani-Kayode, Garba Shehu and Femi Adeshina.

The northern group of leaders rooting for the candidacy of "Tony Ehilebo For NPS", under the guidance of Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki, a committed and loyal party faithful of the PDP have therefore, called for the support of Ehilebo to emerge as the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, stating that, with Tony Ehilebo in charge of the Publicity office at the PDP National Secretariat, the party would have someone with the needed capacity, tenacity, soundness of mind, quality knowledge of the political rudiments to churn out sustainable policy drive that would challenge and deliver policy statements for the overall good of the PDP as the countdown to the 2023 General Elections approaches which would see the PDP return back to power.

"Tony Ehilebo is the best candidate for the position of NPS and, supporting his candidacy by all stakeholders from across the country, will see the best of the party in terms of proactive performance and leadership that will steer the party back to its winning ways across the country".

"Ehilebo's aspiration is for the growth of our great party, it is for better communication between our party and Nigerians. It's about the mobilisation of support for our party and about improved image of our party before the eyes of the world".  

"The Muhammadu Buhari led APC and its propaganda unit has failed the nation even with the various lies, misinformation and unholy propaganda including the dishing out of fake news that it used to hoodwink Nigerians in 2015".

"It is quite unfortunate that Nigerians and Nigeria are the worse off, with the failure of the APC to provide quality and sustainable development of the country", the northern PDP chieftains stated.

"The PDP is more than ready to revive the country's economy, checkmate the growing insecurity that has resulted in the loss of innocent lives and properties".

According to northern PDP chieftains from the north, the growing agitations across the Southeast and Southwest is as a result of the failure of the APC to lead with fairness, justice and equality to all Nigerians even as they assured Nigerians that, come 2023 and with the PDP in control, the country would witness a tremendous turn around for good.

"Nigerians should rally round the PDP and ensure that the failure of the APC is not allowed to remain in office, one day longer so that, we all can go about our various businesses freely, without fear of kidnapping or banditry".

"We are a free-spirit like people with strong will to excel in our endeavours and, the last couple of years under the APC has been very traumatic, sorrowful and disturbing. Prices of goods have shot up and above the finances of the average Nigerian, yet, we see the APC lying machines give a false impression to the citizenry".

The group, while reiterating its support for Ehilebo, called on all the delegates at the forthcoming party primaries to stand strong behind the next NPS of the PDP, Tony Ehilebo in the forthcoming elections at the Congress where new leadership of the PDP will emerge.

"We are in need of a man who understands the workings of the party. Tony is the man with the contemporary communication skills, the man we need now to woo more support for the party's victory in 2023".

"Going forward to 2023, we need a man that will echo the voice of the opposition, someone who can constuctively put the ruling party on its toes over the next few months. One that speaks the language the young people and women and also, understands as well as have great respect and belief in the wisdom of the elders of the party".
