AHEAD OF 2023: Oborevwori's Popularity Soars As Delta Political Vanguard Celebrates New Year In Agbor
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori |
"Continuity Of Okowa Sustainable Development Plan For Delta Beyond 2023 Must Be Sustained." Esiso.
"DPV's new year get-together, a positive proof of Mr Speaker's soaring popularity in the arena of 2023 governorship race and obvious overwhelmingly grace of God upon his political career and series of direct and indirect endorsements which daily gave credence to his goodwill and inestimable humility in leadership.
The Delta Political Vanguard, DPV one of the foremost political pressure groups in Delta state, on Saturday 15th January 2022, celebrated the new year in a grand style in Agbor, the capital of Ika South Local Government Area.
The DPV family get-together jamboree attracted members from the three senatorial districts and was ably supervised by the National Chairman of the group, his deputy and the Director General, Hon Evangelist Michael Diden aka Ejele, Bashorun Askia Ogie and Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe, JP.
The major side attraction at the event was the colourful display of images and branded campaign materials of a front line governorship aspirant and incumbent speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, DTHA, Rt Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, the Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom.
The display of love was massive and splendid, a positive proof of Mr Speaker's soaring popularity in the arena of 2023 governorship race and obvious overwhelmingly grace of God upon his political career and series of direct and indirect endorsements which daily gave credence to his goodwill and inestimable humility in leadership.
Better put, Oborevwori, a major player in the ongoing 2023 governorship politics in the state, may have received what political observers described as an implied endorsement by DPV family, judging from the warm and superlative reception accorded him; and the consistent super cheers from the mammoth crowd of supporters at the group's new year celebration, even though no direct endorsement was announced at the Agbor elaborate event.
Insider sources also confirmed to NewsRazor-NG correspondent that Mr Speaker is likely going to pick his deputy from among leaders of DPV or a core Okowa loyalist because of his strong commitment to the ideals of Okowa political philosophy, his strong ties with the DPV family, and his genuine determination to ensure the steady continuity of the laudable development strides of the incumbent governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
Another source said Oborevwori has proven to be dependable, trustworthy, tactful, prudent, a bridge builder and loved by party members, Deltans, colleagues and also seen to be loyal to core political musketeers in the state, and therefore appears to be the most suitable Gov Okowa's successor in 2023.
Oborevwori was calm and frequently acknowledged cheers from members of DPV, supporters and the mammoth crowd. He sat very close to PDP State Party Chairman, Okakuro Kingsley Esiso Esq and other personalities at event.
Speaking at the celebration, Esiso again reassured DPV members, Deltans and entire party faithfuls in the state that the needful shall be done to ensure that Gov Okowa's successor emerges from PDP, a governor for all Deltans and a detribalised political gladiator who will sustain and incorporate in his blueprint the development agenda and socioeconomic policies of the governor and this administration for another eight years, with effect from May 29, 2023.
"A continuity governor is what Deltans are yearning for and our great party, the PDP will do anything and everything possible and lawful to ensure that Gov Okowa's successor will emerge from our party to sustain growth, policies and programmes, economic prosperity through job and wealth creation for our people across the three senatorial districts.
"Delta next governor must be a tested and and must of necessity continue to improve on the gains of this administration," Esiso assured.
The PDP State party chairman further disclosed that a volcanic political rally will take place in Asaba, on 22nd January, 2022, to further shake off the major opposition party, All Progressives Congress, APC.
Insider sources confirmed that some major political pronouncements and declarations may be made at the Asaba mega rally scheduled to hold at the Cenotaph, where large numbers of political decampees from APC shall be received into PDP by the State party leader and party Chairman, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and Kingsley Esiso Esq.
