ANYIM CONTINUES CONSULTATIONS, MEETS SOUTH-EAST PDP STAKEHOLDERS.... Announces Intention To Run For President In 2023

"I would like to state, with my experiences notwithstanding, I do not claim to be the most qualified from the South East or any other part of the country. I am only offering myself to continue my services to my country."


Former Senate President and strong contender for the 2023 Presidential ticket under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Distinguished Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has continued his consultation with prominent stakeholders of the South-East region concerning his aspiration, come 2023.

At the consultation session with leaders and stakeholders of the PDP in Enugu, the Presidential hopeful announced his intention to run for the position of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2023 general elections under the banner of our great party, Peoples Democratic Party. 

In attendance were Elders, Leaders, members of the party, South East Zonal Working Committee, members of the State Executives of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States. 

Senator Anyim, at the meeting discussed several ways in which their great party can contribute to the growth and unity of Nigeria. 

"My decision to run for office is a product of years of prayers, reflections, and introspection on not just my capacity and preparedness to take on the task ahead, but also deep thoughts on our national challenges and the solutions they demand." He said.

I am only offering myself to continue my services to my country in the capacity of "President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," at a time, I believe, my experiences will be needed to save our beloved country."

"This announcement is the first of many steps in actualizing a more progressive and united nation, I hereby ask for your support and to trust in my abilities to lead Nigeria into the great future we all believe she can be, as I cannot achieve this without your support." He stated.
