"I am disappointed at the parochial governor Sanwo-Olu is turning into.

"The Lagos governor has just proven he's part of a grand conspiracy to subvert justice over Oromoni Jr.

"Shielding Dowen College from complicity in the avoidable death a little boy would not save the battered image and imminent doom of the school."

What is Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu turning into, Chief Security Officer, or Chief Confusion Officer?

Few days ago, the Governor was at Magodo Estate, subverted the cause of justice by distracting police officers from enforcing an order from the highest court of competent jurisdiction, the Supreme Court. 

Days after, precisely Saturday January 8th 2022, Sanwo-Olu, was grandstanding with an impulsive order, threatening sanctions against any Lagos school that failed to resume school by Monday this week.

From all indications, this impulsive basic and secondary schools resumption order is in furtherance of the miscarriage of justice, to take side with owners of the notorious Dowen College where Sylvester Oromoni Jr was  allegedly brutalised and killed by fellow students.

In my opinion, this schools resumption threat, again escalates widespread public doubt over the integrity of the court which absolved Dowen College and the notorious five students of any wrong doing when there is hardly any doubt that a little boy was brutalised, made to drink engine oil by sons of rich Nigerians in an alleged case of secondary school cult initiation.

Assuming without conceding that Sylvestrr Oromoni Jr died of natural cause, how should that shield the notorious five students and the negligent Dowen College management from having questions to answer over the assault on the victim. Couldn't the assault have triggered or escalated the so called health condition that killed him? Couldn't his life have been spared if the school authority had responded timely to his situation?

I am surprised no punishment is given to the school management by the Lagos State Governor for failing to protect an innocent student of the college. No site visit to evaluate students living conditions and security at Dowen ahead of the schools resumption. The students involved were not even expelled nor suspended for such misconduct.

If Sylvester Oromoni Jr was a Yoruba boy, if Dowen belonged to a nobody, if the depraved five suspected student savages were not children of highly placed parents, the Lagos governor would have gone to the school premises to' broadcast live' the incident just the way he did with the Magodo Estate drama.

And where is the media in all of this show off force to suppress justice? Where are the fiery Lagos human rights activists/lawyers/NGOs? Where are those propaganda groups of Nigerian elites? In this case, they won't come out in protest against the miscarriage of justice. They are instead, by their deliberate silence, tacitly supporting the tribalism against Sylvester Oromoni Jr because he was of South South minorities. 

The order/directive to force all Lagos schools open 2022 by the Lagos state governor was apparently declared to give Dowen College where Sylvester Oromoni Jr was brutalised and killed a soft landing to sustain the impunity to breed more notorious students of the rich and powerful in the Nigerian society without consequence action.

More than the Magodo Estate grandstanding, this is a worse display of insensitivity by the governor, unfeeling about the plight of grieving parents of the demised boy.

To imperious Sanwo-Olu, your schools opening fiat and threats to school management isn't enough. What would you do to students who failed to resume the opened schools, particularly Dowen College? Maybe you will declare them dismisser.

Dowen College is already a bad case. Shielded by deliberate miscarriage or not, your malicious school reopening order won't stop most sane parents from withdrawing their children from such a notorious school. It could have happened to any other child, any other parents.
