DELTA 2023: Who Is Afraid Of Speaker Sheriff Oborevwori?
Rt.Hon. Sherrrif Oborevwori |
"In my previous articles and stories that all the aspirants are qualified and eligible to become governor. Mr Speaker is one of them and very outstanding for that matter. All aspirants should sell their manifestos to party faithfuls and delegates across board before primaries. Those directly or indirectly funding negative media propaganda against their opponents should stop and channel their resources and efforts towards grabbing PDP guber flag." Oghenesivbe JP
There is no gainsaying the fact that the humble, patriotic and Pan
Delta Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, DTHA, and leading governorship
aspirant, Rt Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, is pulling winning strings in
the race, and working very hard to excel at the forthcoming party primaries
this year of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is indeed a political dynamite ready to blow off the tattered
and dilapidated roof of his detractors cum political naysayers, as we
navigate towards the gubernatorial party primaries in the state.
It is also crystal clear that Mr Speaker is causing sleepless
nights in various political camps, which prompted the poorly planned and
cheaply executed media onslaught against his bright beautiful skies and the
high smooth altitude with which Oborevwori is cruising to grab PDP guber
ticket.
I stated clearly in my previous articles and stories that all the
aspirants are qualified and eligible to become governor. Mr Speaker is one of
them and very outstanding for that matter. All aspirants should sell their
manifestos to party faithfuls and delegates across board before primaries.
Those directly or indirectly funding negative media propaganda against their
opponents should stop and channel their resources and efforts towards grabbing
PDP guber flag.
Among the active aspirants, Oborevwori is very popular, his moving
force as well as political sagacity obviously is the major source of worry for
some of his detractors who are working very hard to discredit him by any means
possible. However, we know the truth. Their efforts shall continue to hit the
brick walls.
It is our collective responsibility to condemn any undue attacks
on aspirants; because each one of them is eligible to aspire for the number one
position in the state. To blackmail a fellow aspirant is to say that you are
not fit and proper for the highly esteemed office of governor of Delta State.
The fake news against Mr Speaker, is indeed laughable and very
childish, to say the least. That one of the credible and generally accepted
aspirant threw in the trowel sounds ridiculous. What kind of joke and media
propaganda strategy was that? Whose idea was it, and from which political camp
or family? I laughed when I read the tasteless piece, and it speedily attracted
rain of tongue lashing on the mischief-makers.
They cloned "Sheriff Believers" social media campaign
identity to push the dead on arrival media nonsense. It bounced back like a
stray bullet resting on a bulletproof armoured tank. It was shameful and
irresponsible in all ramifications. The fake news further gave credence to the
pedigree of Mr. Speaker in this race.
The massive negative reactions from Deltans and indeed
Nigerians clearly revealed that the "fake news" announcing Mr
Speakers withdrawal from the 2023 governorship race was a poor script sponsored
by some mediocre propagandists, recruited by a bunch of inexperienced and
desperate idle minds, who out of fear of the rising popularity of Oborevwori
decided to unwisely display their frustrations.
As the leader of DTHA, Hon Ferguson Onwo rightly posited, Speaker
Oborevwori retains his positive highest rating as the most credible, popular, detribalized
and responsible aspirant in the 2023 governorship race.
Hon Onwo, was quick to brush aside the fake news, and declared the
total support of all Honourable members for Mr. Speaker's governorship
ambition, and if you multiply the votes of delegates controlled by all House
members, your guess will be as good as mine. These are some of the reasons why
Mr. Speaker’s opponents are frustrated and destabilized, politically.
Rt Hon Sheriff, is a man of few words, productive, results
oriented, tactful, brave, selfless and a great philanthropist, whose leadership
of the Legislative arm of government facilitated good governance; law and
order, as well as passage of bills that helped tremendously to accelerate job
and wealth creation for Deltans. His leadership brought sanity and unity to the
business of the House while retaining the independent status of the
legislature.
Oborevwori is a founding member of PDP, a bridge builder across
multifaceted political families, and have enormous respect for all political
leaders, past governors in the state, as well as the incumbent governor,
Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, whom Mr Speaker frequently referred to as his
mentor in leadership.
He appears to be the best and most sort after, in the shortlisted
three names of aspirants released by DC-23, in terms of leadership qualities,
humility, patriotism, forthrightness, reliability, and obviously detribalized
and dependable.
Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is a tested and trusted Pan Deltan. He
assured Deltans that he would provide responsible leadership, open door policy
and transparent accountability if given the opportunity to serve as governor.
Mr. Speaker is a man of the people and no media propaganda,
fake news and misinformation can stop him from actualizing his strong and
genuine desires to fly PDP guber flag in 2023, to build on the numerous and
laudable achievements of the platinum governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur
Okowa.
Haven mentioned all these glowing attributes about Mr Speaker and
other aspirants in the race, and those waiting for the right signal, it is very
important to state that the direction of the governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi
Arthur Okowa, that will make all the difference and the swing of the political
pendulum in this dispensation.
I am sure governor Okowa will soon hear from God and promptly
disclose his able successor before the PDP gubernatorial party primaries in the
state.
Till then, I shall continue to appreciate and pally with all the
aspirants until governor Okowa, tells us who shall be his successor and we
swing into action to deliver the crowned prince of Government House.
For now, no one can edge out Mr. Speaker and other aspirants jostling
for the position of Governor come 2023. Governor Okowa assured all stakeholders
and aspirants of free, fair and transparent primaries. They are the pride of
Delta and we love them all.
Stronger Delta, Let's Builder Together!
