NEW WAMBAN SARKIN BAI: KANO MONARCH TO TURBAN ENGR SANI ABDULKADIR

Hard work, diligence, service to humanity, philanthropy are key factors for reward by society and these virtues have come to play in the life of Engr Sani Abdulkadir, a staff of the Federal Roads maintenance Agency, FERMA.

In recognition of his very commendable efforts in sustaining the good name of Dambatta, (Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano state), all is set for the turbanning of Engineer Sani Abdulkadir (MNSE, MNIHTE, FNICE), with the title of WAMBAN Sarki Ban Bichi, scheduled for March 12, 2022 at the Palace of the District Head of Dambatta, Alhaji Isyaku Wada Waziri.

The Sarkin Bai is a King Maker in Bichi Emirate.

According to the invitation letter by the District Head of Dambatta, the ceremony has the Majestic approval of His Highness, the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero.

The date, time and venue of the Turbanning is slated for Saturday, 12^th March 2022 (9^th sha’ban 1444) at 11am while the venue is the Palace of the District Head of Dambatta, Dambatta Local Government Area, Kano.

 

BIOGRAPHY OF WAMBAI

Engr. Sani Abdulkadir was born on 7TH February, 1972 in the ancient City of Kano. He completed his primary and secondary schools education at Dala Special Primary School and Senior Secondary Grammar School (SSGS), Gwammaja both in Kano city, in 1984 and 1990, respectively. 

He also obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng. Civil Engineering) in 1998, and a Master’s Degree, M.Eng. Civil (Geotechnical Engineering) in 2011, both from the Prestigious Bayero University, Kano. 

Engr. Sani started his carreer with the Kano State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport in 2001and he rose to the position of ‘Senior Civil Engineer’ and from there, joined the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Abuja in May, 2007. 

He is currently, the Zonal Coordinator, North West II (Sokoto Zonal Hqtrs.) coordinating the activities of FERMA in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States Field offices. 

Engr. Sani is a registered Civil Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), since 2006. 

He is a corporate member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE), and a corporate member of the Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers (MNHITE). He is also, a member of the Institute of Industrialist and Corporate Administrators (MIICA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Executives of Nigeria (FICEN).

Engr. Sani Abdulkadir is a recipient of many awards/certificates of honours from professional bodies/Educational Institutions, Students/youth associations, Islamiyya/community schools and many more; all in recognition of his philanthropic gestures to his communities in particular, including his selfless service to humanity in general.   

He has also attended many workshops and seminars, both locally and internationally. He is very passionate in books readings and mentoring of youths on leadership and entrepreneurship.

His present appointment as ‘WAMBAN SARKIN BAN BICHI’ was well celebrated by his friends, relatives, colleagues and other associates, who see the appointment as ‘an honour well deserved’.

Engr. Sani Abdulkadir, Wamban Sarkin Ban Bichi, is happily married with children and grandchildren.
