NIS PLATEAU STATE COMMAND COMMENCES 'CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK'.... Promises Greater Quality And Effective Service Delivery

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS in its determination to continue to serve Nigerians and other nationals seeking to visit the country better, commenced its 2022 Customer Services Week on Monday, 14 February 2022.

The Customer Services Week, with its theme; “Excellent Service Delivery, A Panacea for Corruption”, is expected to run from 14-18 of February 2022 and, from information made available, the five days event will provide enlightenment and sensitization.

NIS, PLATEAU STATE COMMAND

According to DSI Thompson Adamu, the Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Command,  Jos, of the Nigeria Immigration Service, “the Customer Service Week, CSW, is all about show casing all our service windows to our customers who are applying for any of our facilities.”

He disclosed that apart from application for the services of the establishment, “prompt service delivery, which brings SERVICOM in as one of our service windows, however, there is going to be a VIP treatment to all pregnant women, aged and minors that are applying for passport facilities.

“Customers should feel free to come to Nigeria Immigration Service Command Jos to access any of our facilities.” Thompson Adamu stated.

Responding to enquiries if the CSW of the NIS is limited to only Plateau Command, he said; “It's taking place in all our commands and formations across the country." 

He however stressed that his focus is for the overall success of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS with particular interest in the Plateau State Command, Jos.

“The Customer service week will also look at Anti Corruption practices as the Acting Comptroller General Comptroller of the NIS, Isa Jere Idris, frowns seriously at corruption and has therefore, promised to bring the whole weight of the law on erring officers.” Adamu revealed.

The NIS has received accolades from Nigerians and foreigners alike, in recent times, for the tremendous leap, it has recorded with its advanced improvement in delivery of services especially its technological growth, quality service to applicants and of particular interest, his fight against corruption and vices inimical to the mandate of the Service.
