NEWS: HEAD OF SIP INVESTIGATING ABBA KYARI SLUMPS, DIES IN OFFICE

Shock, disbelief and tears have trailed followed the announcement of the sudden demise of Deputy Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Joseph Egbunike, who slumped and died in his office late Tuesday, at the Force Headquarters.

DIG Egbunike, who until his sudden death, was the DIG In-Charge of the Force  Criminal Investigations Department, FCID, was also the head of the Special Investigation Panel, SIP constituted by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba investigating Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari, suspended head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, over money laundering allegations.

The late DIG Egbunike, who reportedly slumped and died in his office in Abuja in the late hours of yesterday, Tuesday, March , 2022, hailed from Onitsha, Anambra State, South-East Nigeria.
