Ejowho enjoined the Ijaws in Delta South Senatorial District to wait for the turn of its senatorial district to be governor having ran in the year 2007 to 2015 in line with the PDP zoning formula in the State.

On whether Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa will have political issues with Chief James Onanefe Ibori over who becomes the next governor, Ejowho said, "Though I am not a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) but my personal opinion on whether governor Okowa will have issues with Chief Ibori is that if the process is credible, free and fair, Chief James Onanefe Ibori would have no choice other to accept its winner."

On the whole he said, Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and his team has not done well despite the huge resources its State is blessed with.

Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru has contested governorship elections in 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 in Delta State.
