NSCDC KADUNA COMMAND ASSURES RESIDENTS OF HITCH FREE FESTIVITIES. .... Present Threats To Security Are Surmountable, Commandant Miebi Tells Officers

Ahead of this year's Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command has deployed over 2250 personnel in all the 23 Local Government Areas in the State. 

The State Commandant, Dr Godwin Miebi in a statement issued and signed on his behalf by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamasi, called on residents and members of the public to be on the alert and report suspected acts and persons, to the corps and other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free celebration. 

Addressing Heads of departments, Units, Area Commander and Divisional Officers, at the State Command, Dr. Miebi noted that present threats to security are sumountable especially with support of the citizenry. 

According to the Kaduna State NSCDC Commandant, challenges of banditary and kidnapping among others  bedevilling the state and nation in general are worrisome, noting that efforts are being intensified as officers and men will be deployed to areas of worship and recreation centers, during the Festive period.

He expressed the determination of the command in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure stressing that the command's performance is yielding positive results.

Also, the Commandant called on parents and guardians to monitor the movements of their children to prevent them from becoming victims of criminals.

Miebi appealed to residents not to lose confidence in the response of agencies saddled with responsibilities of protecting lives and property. 

Continuing, he advised that the lessons learned during the month of Ramadan should not be forgotten quickly. The love shared should be extended throughout the remaining period. 

Meibi charged Muslim Ummah to pray for peaceful coexistence and congratulated them on the successful completion of Ramadan Fast and Eid-Fitr Celebration.
