TINUBU LEADS IN APC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES .... GOVS DEFY BUHARI'S REQUEST

Buhari and Tinubu

Reports from the nation's capital, Abuja, venue of the ongoing presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress APC, shows that APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is coasting smoothly to victory, in what many describe as a political master stroke to defeat other contenders.

According to Political Editor of this news platform, Tinubu's foot soldiers deployed with deft strategies virtually took over the grounds of the election and, to make matters worse, governors under the platform of the APC have moved enmasse to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in what political observers say is aimed at ensuring their political future.

The APC governors have reportedly been assured of juicy appointments and positions in his administration, if given their total support.

This is a huge master stroke deployed by the APC national leader, who, sources say was not the president's favourite to succeed him on office. The former Lagos State Governor had, in an outburst penultimate week, boasted during a meeting with APC delegates in Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria, that he made Buhari president and also made Prof Yemi Osibanjo, Vice President and as such, it was his turn to be President.

His outburst and series of comments had obviously upset some party Chieftains but however, others in the know of certain agreements within the party, said it was within his rights to get angry having given his all to ensure the victory of the party in 2015.

Some had however described the outburst as a display of arrogance and entitlement mentality unbecoming of a national political icon.
