EXPOSED: FRAUDULENT LAND SPECULATORS FLOOD ASABA. .... Investors Cry Out Over loss Of Millions of Naira.

"Many of these schemes are managed by sweet-talking women who promise non-existent refunds on investments if not satisfied with the services rendered but at the end of the day, dare the potential investors to go seek redress in court."

With a positive growth in property development gaining grounds in Asaba, the Delta State capital and its adjoining town and communities, investment in land speculation is becoming a huge boom as residents and non-residents alike are capitalizing on the gains involved.

Against this welcome development, the fraudulent activities of some group of people has however thrown this growth into a lurch as scammers in varying guise have allegedly defrauded Nigerians, especially deltans resident in the diaspora, of millions of naira of their hard earned savings, under bogus schemes of owning lands and properties within and around Asaba.

Majority of those who have fallen prey are mostly persons residing in far away foreign countries with the intentions of genuinely owning properties in the fast growing capital city of Delta state. This has caused much financial setbacks to these group of deltans as the chances of recovering their hard earned monies, seems like a mirage.

Investigations by this platform on the subject matter reveals that many of these schemes are managed by sweet-talking women who promise non-existent refunds on investments if not satisfied with the services rendered but at the end of the day, dare the potential investors to go seek redress in court.

Further findings also reveal that, complaints to authorities to intervene and bring to an end, the nefarious activities of these scammers who have been defrauding unsuspecting investors using shady housing schemes, have all dragged for long periods and the potential investor ends up frustrated and disappointed in their inability to get justice. This has made many complain of their lack of faith and trust in the Nigeria justice system and the connivance of some scrupulous staff in the judicial arm of government, with these fraudsters.

Many of these concerned investors are expressing their huge disappointment in the failure of the Delta state government that has continued to fold its arms while these fraudsters smile to the bank.

Meanwhile, as investigations continue on this issue, this platform will provide further details and information especially as it relates to the identities of some of the persons behind these fraudulent housing schemes and the documents entered into with the prospective buyers.

In conclusion, notice is also given to them to fulfill the agreements entered into with the buyers as the long arm of the law is bound to catch up with them soon.
