NIGERIA @ 62: NSCDC Kaduna Command Felicitates With Kaduna Residents. .... Assures Of Security During Independence Celebration

Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, Idris Yahaya Adah, has extended his felicitation on behalf of officers and men of the command, to the government and residents of the state as the nation marks its 62 years of Independence from colonial rule.

A statement issued and e-signed by the State Command Public Rrelations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamasi, on behalf of the State Commandant, assured of the Command's resolve in addressing security threats affecting the state.

Idris Yahaya Adah called on law abiding citizens not to lose confidence and hope in security agencies, but continue to support them with useful information on the whereabouts of criminal elements threatening the peace of the state and North-West region. 

"The Command is working in synergy with other security agencies in confronting threats such as banditry, kidnapping and abduction and is open to support from the public on ways to improve the security situation."

According to him, "the command is working relentlessly with support of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni whose administration has supported the Command recently with new operational vehicle which has been deployed for improved response to distress calls code named, Quick Response Squad.

He also appreciated the State Government for logistics and other forms of support given to the Command, assuring that no stone will be left unturned towards improving the security situation in the state.

The Command remains resolute in the fight against vandalism, destruction of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, agricultural and Agro-allied investments and human rights abuse among others," Adah maintained.

He cautioned aggrieved persons from taking laws into their hands, rather enjoined them to report to agencies saddled with responsibilities of investigation, mediation and settling of conflicts.

"Let us make the celebration of this 62nd independence anniversary peaceful and in doing so, youths must be guided in their conducts and parents as well as guardian should monitor the whereabouts of their children and wards," the Commandant further cautioned.

On next year's general elections, the state NSCDC boss assured of neutrality on the part of the corps and called on politicians with their suppoters to eschew violence and to avoid heating up the polity and play the game according to its laid down rules.
