The Minister of Defence Maj. Gen. Bashir Salihu Magashi CFR, (rtd) says the exceptional leadership qualitty of President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, has earned the country a pride of place among comity of Nations.

General Magashi, (rtd) stated this in a statement celebrating the 80th birthday of the Nigerian Leader whom he described as a man of high integrity with uncommon sagacity in rendering patriotic service to the nation. 

The Minister, in a statement issued and signed by Mohammad Abdulkadri, Special Assistant to the Minister of Defence on Media and Publicity, outlined the footprints of the C-In-C on the sands of time in the nation's history to include provision of modern Fighting equipment for the Military in aid of Counter-Terrorism, Counter- insurgency and anti-banditry campaigns.

The Defence Minister said the unwavering to the Military by the Commander-In-Chief has boosted the fighting and firing power of the Armed Forces in dealing decisively and aggressively with threats to national territorial integrity, peace and prosperity. 

While congratulating PMB at 80 he said Nigerians are proud of his intimidating pedigree for raising the bar of impeccable service and sacrifice to the nation by providing the right leadership with referred and as an uncommon disposition to making the country better than he met it.

General Magashi described him as an enigma of a sort whose uncompromising defence and stance for the unity and indivisibility of the country is undoubted as a trustworthy Nigerian.

While felicitating with the C-In-C as a respected World Leader, the Defence Minister acknowledged the impacts of the policies and programmes under his watch as number one Nigerian citizen with specific reference to the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, (PIDF) which he said has changed the narrative in reducing the infrastructural deficit in the country.

The Minister said over seven years of  his administration has also emplaced new economic policies that are promoting the ease of doing business as well as fast-tracking national rebirth in financial discipline, probity and accountability in the running of government at all levels. 

He therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to preserve the life of President Muhammadu Buhari to mark many more years on the surface of the planet to continue to discharge meritorious and unblemished service to the Nation and humanity.
