OMO-AGEGE’S GOVERNORSHIP PROGRAMME, BEST FOR ALL DELTANS …. SAYS OLORUGUN DIESERUVWE
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege |
"The Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, is equipped with the right potentials, capacity and capability to deliver the state from the clutches of misrule, maladministration, incompetency and division that has trailed the PDP leadership under the incumbent." Dieseruvwe.
"We need a true democrat, a grounded and grassroots leader that will develop delta state instead of this sad style of leadership and governance that we are presently experiencing."
With the 11 March 2023 governorship elections fast approaching, Olorugun Stephen K. Dieseruvwe has called on the good people of Delta state to support massively, and vote Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for Governor, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC if they earnestly yearn and desire for a quality leadership and sustainable governance.
Dieseruvwe, a respected personality and political leader in the state, served as the pioneer Director General of the Delta state Traffic Management Authority.
He stressed that the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, is equipped with the right potentials, capacity and capability to deliver the state from the clutches of misrule, maladministration, incompetency and division that has trailed the PDP leadership under the incumbent.
The party chieftain made this known while soliciting support for Ovie Omo-Agege, who is seeking the support of all deltans for the exalted seat at the Dennis Osadebey House.
“Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is the best choice for the Office of Governor for our beloved state and I want to implore that we all massively, go out on March 11, 2023 to cast our vote for the man with the right disposition and capacity to lead to the state back to the path of glory.
“We need a true democrat, a grounded and grassroots leader that will develop delta state instead of this sad style of leadership and governance that we are presently experiencing, where the youths have no say in government except for the handouts and stipends doled to them by an insensitive leader.
“His Excellency, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, in his own words, has repeatedly assured all deltans that, his emergence as the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC is purposefully driven to make a new delta state for all deltans.
According to His Excellency, the Deputy Senate President, “My ambition is based on the covenant I have entered into, with all deltans, to build a new delta state on the pillars of employment, empowerment, development, good governance, enduring peace and security. This has been lacking in the past eight (8) years and instead of providing the people with quality governance, it has been years of procuring loans and borrowings without corresponding development.
“We need to reverse this ugly trend and change the narrative and in so doing, make Delta state the pride of the nation.
"Let us together, make delta state work again as I promise not to disappoint you.”
Dieseruvwe lamented the poor state of the medical sector where medical care is beyond the reach of the people despite the fact that Delta state, with its huge human and capital resources at the disposal of its leaders, has a medical doctor as its Chief Executive Governor but is unfortunately, without a welfare programme for the aged. This is certainly not the delta state that we truly desire.”
Olorogun Stephen Dieseruvwe therefore enjoined all true lovers of democracy and sustainable development as it concerns delta state to vote massively for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; a leader with unflinching belief that a Better Delta State is possible, if we genuinely yearn for it.
He stressed that, it is highly regrettable that the Okowa administration, in the last eight years has brought about pain and anguish to deltans in the midst of plenty.
The former DESTMA DG reiterated his belief in Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s leadership capacity following his excellent disposition, composure and performance in the Upper Chambers of the National Assembly where he serves as the Deputy Senate President, a role he has handled exceedingly well, to the admiration of all.
He therefore implored all deltans to choose wisely by supporting and voting Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; a man with sound, credible, identifiable credentials instead of somebody with a very poor and questionable educational background.
