.... Commends him for Justifying the Confidence Reposed on Him by the Federal Government.
After a thorough evaluation of the sterling performance and inspiring reforms ignited by the Mohammed Bello Koko- led management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), carried out by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) which classified the NPA as a level 5 “Platinum Level” Organisation, the Federal Government has conferred on the Managing Director/CEO of the NPA, Bello Koko, the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award.
Reacting to the award investiture on Koko, erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze says Koko’s display of competence and sound managerial skills in the discharge of the onerous responsibilities of his office speaks of his mastery of the mechanics of the NPA and has inspired an improved performance of the agency in income generation and remittances to the national purse from the period he was heading the NPA in acting capacity.
In a statement made available to the media, the party Chief described Koko as a round peg in a hole and commended former President Buhari and ex-Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi for always placing high premium on competence in the matter of who got what especially in agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Transportation.
With this conferment, the NPA MD. now belongs to the group of top government functionaries, exceptional public administrators and captains of industry marked for driving excellence and pushing the limits to advance the frontiers of national productivity which is core to national development.
Congratulating the NPA boss for his recognition in repositioning the Nigerian Ports Authority for improved trade facilitation, enhanced revenue mobilization and remittances to the consolidated revenue fund, Chief Eze urged him to continue to break new grounds and set the pace for better performance by public office holders, adding that he has justified the confidence reposed on him by Nigerians.
