TINUBU APPOINTS ADEPOJU C. WURA-OLA AS SUBSTANTIVE CG IMMIGRAlTION SERVICE

Comptroller General (CG) of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

The President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adepoju Caroline Wura-Ola (Mrs) as the substantive Comptroller General, CG of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS.


CG Wura-Ola, before her appointment as Acting CG, was Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) in charge of Finance and Account Directorate.

A brief on her reveals that, CGI Wura-Ola was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Olatunji Akinrinsola on July 13th, 1963 in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Iocal Government Area of Ondo state, South-West Nigeria.

Adepoju Caroline attended Christ Girls' School, Ado Ekiti, where she obtained West African Examination Certificate in 1980. 

She attended the University of Maiduguri, where she got a degree in the Faculty of Science in 1985 and in 1987, proceeded to the prestigious University of Ibadan, where she obtained her Masters Degree in Chemistry. She also has a certificate program from Trios College Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Paralegal Studies.

As an NIS officer, CGI Wura-Olu attended some trainings, including; Immigration Training School Kano, Immigration Command, and Staff College Sokoto, National Institute for Security Studies Lower Usman Dam Bwari, Abuja and Emotional Intelligence and Transformation Leadership.

She is also a fellow of Pass Command Course, fellow Security Institute of Nigeria, and Member Law Society of Upper Canada. She is happily married with children.

Similarly, Mr. President has also approved the appointment of six (6) Deputy Comptrollers-General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) with effect from 01/01/2023.
