ASHETU NDAYAKO ASSUMES DUTY AS NEW PERM SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

The Federal Goverment has approved the appointment and deployment of Dr. Ashetu Gogo Ndayako as the new Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Interior.

Dr Aishatu Goggo Ndayako, on Friday afternoon assumed duties, pledging to work as a family to deliver on the mandate of the Ministry.

The new Permanent Secretary, while responding to greetings from staff of the Ministry, said she was gladdened to hear from the Director, General Services, Dr. Peter Egbodo, that she is meeting a well trained Management and staff.

Ndayako, while appealing for the understanding and cooperation from all, urged that there is the need for working together as a family in a cohesive manner to deliver in the 8-point agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"It is a rare privilege to be appointed to serve my country in the capacity of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior." Dr. Ashetu Gogo Ndayako stated.

She pledged to deliver in her new tasks and sought the support of the Ministry's members of Staff 

The new Permanent Secretary thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding her worthy of the appointment and subsequent posting to the Ministry, promising to do her best in making the Renewed Hope Agenda of President come to bear in her service delivery to Nigerians.

She thanked staff and the management Team for the warm reception accorded her and her entourage, while also appreciating her family members who were part of her entourage to the ministry which included her husband, AVM Haruna Muhammed (Baraden Nupe) for their support.

Earlier in his welcome address, Director Joint Services, equally Overseer of the Office of the Permanent Secretary Dr. Peter Egbodo, congratulated the new Permanent Secretary and also for her deployment to the Ministry of Interior.

Dr. Egbodo, said the Ministry of Interior plays a very critical role in the infrastructure of internal security of the country with enormous challenges.

He added that the confidence the government has on her and, track records of the Permanent Secretary evidently showed that she is not new to challenges.

The Director assured her that she is meeting well trained civil servants who know their responsibilities in the discharge of the Ministry's mandates.

In attendance are Directors and staff of the Ministry, Technical team of the Permanent Secretary and family members.
