DELTA CP ABANIWONDA VISITS CBN ASABA OFFICE ..... Inspects Materials, Orders DPO's To Personally Lead Escort Of Election Materials To Various Destinations

..... Issues firm directive that the DPO's must personally lead all materials safely to the various destinations.

Ahead of the forthcoming local government elections that is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 13 July 2024 across the 25 LGA's in Delta state, the Commissioner of Police Delta State Command Headquarters, CP Olufemi  Abaniwonda has led top Officers in the state, to the CBN Asaba office on an inspection of the electoral materials and safe escorts of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials to the various Local Governments Areas.

Among the top Officers were the DCP Operations, the Squadron Commander 31PMF and DPOs across the twenty-five LGAs. 

During the inspection visit, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda issued a firm directive that the DPO's must personally lead all materials safely to the various destinations.

He assured all residents, and electorates that the Command will ensure that the election is conducted peacefully and hitch-free.

He further reiterated the restriction of movement from 8am to 3pm on election day while noting that NABTEB examination students and people on essential duties will not be affected by the restriction order. 

CP Abaniwonda therefore urged the electorates to be law-abiding and peaceful during the exercise.
